Type II Wallcoverings
Type II Wallcovering.
Type II wallcoverings are commercial contract grade wallcoverings with a 20 Oz. weight. Commercial wallcoverings are produced specifically for use in hotels, apartment buildings, office buildings, schools and hospitals, and other businesses. Type II 20 oz. wallcovering vinyl is typically used in high-traffic/public areas, foyers, lounges, corridors, offices, hospital wards and classrooms.
They are manufactured to meet or surpass minimum physical and performance characteristics set forth in Federal Specifications CCC-W-408, and are classified by flame spread and smoke development based on ASTM E 84 Steiner Tunnel tests or NFPA 286, using the corner burn test.
